Tests & Results.

How to get your test results from St Martin’s Gate Surgery.

The type of test you’re having can change how you can view your results.

You can view test results via the NHS app or via Patient Access.

If you’re having trouble finding your results on the NHS app, you can contact the surgery via phone.

How to get your results.

When you attend for a test of any kind, you’ll be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind, and only call the surgery when sufficient time has elapsed.

Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results, so you should make any necessary follow-up appointments with a doctor or other relevant member of our clinical team.

We have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection, and so we will only give out results to the person they relate to, unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

Please note, is it your responsibility to check your results and make any necessary follow-up appointments based on your GP’s advice.

By Phone

Please call the Test Results line on 01905 363351, option 4 to find out your results by phone, once the appropriate time has elapsed. You’ll be told how long you should expect this to be at the time of your test.

You can only be given your result once one of the doctors has seen it, and sometimes the Doctor will suggest that you make an appointment to be given the result or that they need to speak to you directly. The receptionists will advise you if this is necessary.

By the NHS App

Many test results are now available on the NHS App, as well as a whole host of other information and advice, especially Covid-19 related advice. The app can also be used from your browser on desktop or laptop computers. For more information, click the button below.
